Central Saint Martins: MA GRADUATES 2010

Lacking in colour and devoid of its usual high-octane extravagance, the Central Saint Martins MA 2010 show was notably restrained, pared-back and awash with minimalism and sculptured pattern cutting.

A reflective and introspective mood was evident at the show with a focus on sculptured tailoring in a range of neutrals and greys. Displaying highly capable craftsmanship and innovative pattern-cutting techniques, graduates impressed the crowded audience with a renewed focus on commercial designs. The message was to tone down excessive design and hone one clear vision.
