Shao-Yen Chen
Taiwanese-born and UK-trained graduate Shao-Yen Chen . In his luminous and voluminous all-white knitwear collection, Chen reworked nylon string with the use of cashmere and synthetic yarns to create hugely overblown abstract shapes.
A selection of Chen's work was chosen for the Annapurna Knitwear Competition in Italy back in 2006 and he has interned at Alexander McQueen, Hussein Chalayan and Clare Tough. More recently, Chen won first prize at the 2009 Le Vif Weekend fashion festival in Brussels, Belgium.
